“Heil gas furnace should be blown kick in for 5 sec after the end of each heating cycle or not. There’s usually an adjustable setting for the temperature the blower kicks on at. Sounds like yours may be set too low. The part of the heat exchanger where the sensor is located is probably being heated by the rest of it when the blower stops blowing cooler air on the part where the sensor’s located.
