Ok, so I’m in my mid 40’s, I’ve broken everything from my neck in 2 places to my ankle in 3 places, my knees were rammed into an engine block at 65mph when I was 25 and haven’t been right since, ad in 2 concussions in this lifetime so I don’t have the best balance to boot. Then toss in a nice little dose of being peri-menopausal and HATING doing anything outside in the FL Summer, which lasts for 7 months of 90 degree plus weather, and sprinkle that with a tad of depression from NOT being outside which doesn’t exactly have you running about the house singling merrily while pushing a vacuum and you have 15 extra lbs that you haven’t a CLUE where those little suckers came from , and you are flopping and sagging in places you never knew you had to begin with to ad insult to the poundage! Now according to the wii I’m just above normal putting me in the barely overweigh category, but I FEEL overweight and I know I’ve gotten weaker/un toned and I FEEL it.

My son and daughter love to play Club Penguin online and couldn’t wait for this release. They were glued to it for hours today it came in. That said, my daughter, 9, said most of this time was spent playing old missions, and she says this was “horrible.” A player must complete four or more old missions with only one part new content in the beginning before getting to move on to something new (which is why she wanted Club Penguin – Elite Penguin Force – Herbert’s Revenge).

But my son, who hasn’t completed the online mission, thought it is “the best game in the world for a boy or girl.”

Also, my children say only one player can save his/her game, and that leaves a family with more children in a bind. The “guest” player must start fresh each time he plays, and this is a cause of great discord!

So, three stars from my daughter and five stars for my son equals four overall.

Just a few things I haven’t seen mentioned in other reviews.

Rechargable batteries vs. weight – I purchased Energizer Rechargable NiMH batteries specifically for our Wii Remotes. They are a little pricey but they last an impressive amount of time per change. During a trip to a friend’s house with the Wii in tow one pair happened to die, so he found some traditional coppertops to replace them with. The weight difference is insane. In games like Wii Sports Tennis where controller swing timing is crutial it feels like it makes a difference.

I watched the Biggest Loser season after season and still couldn’t get going with an exercise program. I cleared my recreation room of furniture and bought exercise equipment, but didn’t start exercising. But with Wii Fit Plus, I started moving and so did my husband. This works, because it lets me do a number of things – let’s us work our balance, play games, work out (if that’s what we want), but ultimately, we’re working our different areas that need working on. Abs, legs, backside, back, arms, and BALANCE, which is very necessary for our age group. More important, we’re getting in at least 30 minutes of exercise daily. I’ve found that it’s fun too. My husband and I find that we’re always trying to beat each other’s high score on different levels or trying to get to the next level. I can explain the levels to you, but so many people have played Nintendo games, that many understand that. With this, though, it’s not quite the same thing.

The bicycle no longer has gears like in Platinum, it’s 1 speed only and it works fine. The use of 2 registered items is also a big plus. The Pokewalker is a fantastic add-on to Pokemon SoulSilver Version. I am able to exercise and level up my Pokemon at the same time. The one thing I would change with the walker is allow multiple leveling of Pokemon rather than waste my steps by stopping when it levels up. In addition, allowing the Pokemon to learn moves automatically would save me time as well. Then I could return it to the DS and pick the moves I want to keep. I couldn’t get the walker to register steps when I taped it to my ceiling fan, but a lot of people seemed to have found cheats using various contraptions.

The classic Super Mario 64 re-defined the platformer for a new generation of gamers. The long anticipated Super Mario Galaxy, what I consider to be the true sequel to Super Mario 64 (sorry Super Mario Sunshine!) re-defines the modern day platformer once again, and is a crowning achievement for the license, Nintendo, the Wii, and video games in general. Princess Peach is in dire straits once again in Bowser’s clutches, and Mario embarks on an interstellar quest to save her. The first thing you’ll no doubt notice are Super Mario Galaxy Game for Wii’s incredibly stellar graphics. The Wii is far from a technical powerhouse, but Super Mario Galaxy is by far the absolute best looking game to hit the Wii yet.

To keep this short and sweet. New Super Mario Bros for the DS is the Mario game you’ve come to love him by. With New Super Mario Bros being on the DS you can play New Super Mario Bros on the go and enjoy the Goomba stomping, shell kicking, mushroom power ups till your heart is content. Also when your done with the story, there are plenty of mini games to play. Overall New Super Mario Bros. is an awesome game.
